About Us
Band Bio
The Ralph and The Rhythm Houndsb Blues Rock band has been performing since 2003. Our first album, “Mesmerized,” was released in 2016. The band recently released its first two-song EP in April of 2022, Poor Man’s Prayer and Hole In My Heart. Both projects are streaming on Spotify, iTunes, and other streaming sites. The band is very happy that Spotify has created a Ralph and The Rhythm Hounds Playlist you can listen to!
Band members are band Frontman – Vocalist / Guitarist Noah Cave, Vocalist / Guitarist Ralph Cave, Drummer Calvin Todd, Bassist JScarr and guest performances by the Awesome Keyboardist Christopher Bentley and Vocalist Michelle Branstetter.
As a result of being awarded 1st place in the 2019 Dayton Blues Challenge, and the 2021 Cincy Blues Challenge, the band was awarded the right to perform in the 2020 and 2022 International Blues Challenges in Memphis, TN. Their performances during the blues challenges led to them becoming a blues festival headliner in 2020 and 2022. The band writes and releases it's music and performs at festivals and various Cincinnati area venues

Ralph and The Rhythm Hounds are currently in the studio recording new music tracks for an album.
We are working to achieve a December 31, 2025 release date.
Awards
Our song Poor Man's Prayer was a semi-finalist in the 2024 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). Ralph and the Rhythm Hounds took first place in the 2021 Cincy Blues Challenge and the 2019 Dayton Blues Challenge! We represented Cincinnati at the 2022 Memphis International Blues Challenge and the 2021 Memphis International Blues Challenge.
